Empty Container Handling

Empty containers can be blockstacked
outside the main terminal or, as seen in the picture
below, in a a separate area within the terminal.
Land is money but the sky is
free. this the motto for these container depots, where
the ability to stack high reduces costs and increases
revenue per slot.
When the operation requires
fast stacking alone, the best solution is a mast-type
machine, where as a reach stacker with a boom suits
best if the terminal sets constraints on the height
of the machine used or requires more versatile handling.
In all terminals, there is also
a need to handle empty containers. Empty containers
can be blockstacked outside the main terminal or, as
seen in the picture below, in a separate area within
the terminal.
